Things I'd like: I'd love a gen piece focusing on John's relationship(s) and interaction(s) with Teyla, Ronon, Radek, or Lorne, or Lorne or Radek with Teyla or Ronon, or Rodney with Radek or Elizabeth. I especially like stories that highlight professional competence and hidden skills, and stories that force them to work outside of their usual skill-set, especially if it means that Ronon or John have to be diplomatic or scientific. Something with a bit of plot. I also enjoy stories that are more focused on character interaction in everyday life. Learning to work together early in their professional relationship, maybe, or discussing some past mission or problem, or dealing with a minor technical or personnel or cultural problem on Atlantis, or discussing other people. Or something else entirely. Whatever appeals to you.
On the slash/het side, I have a particular fondness for John/Cameron Mitchell (SG-1), but I like Ronon/Lorne, Ronon/Keller, and John/Teyla as well. I have a hankering for a story where one of the characters discusses their relationship with an outside party, either because they're seeking advice, or because their colleague/teammate found out about the relationship and now insists on talking about it with them. Alternately (or additionally), I'm always up for a good first time stories, and in the case of John/Cam, I enjoy watching one introduce the other to his family. I like having some idea of what the characters are thinking and feeling, not just what they're doing. In all cases, incidental secondary pairings are welcome, and since it's the holidays, a happy ending would be nice, though it isn't absolutely necessary.
Things I wouldn't like: Character bashing. Non-con/dub-con. Professional incompetence. The characters displaying uncharacteristic stupidity or the emotional maturity of 14-year-olds. Humiliation. Betrayal. Mpreg. A high degree of sappiness. Wraith pairings. McShep. (Strong Sheppard & McKay friendship is fine, but no sex, jealousy, or declarations of love.) I also prefer to avoid anything that leaves any of the main characters severely injured--physically, emotionally, or mentally. (Oddly enough, I don't mind them being dead nearly as much as I mind them being badly damaged.)
What I can do: Gen, slash, and het. Crossovers with Criminal Minds or Supernatural. Crossovers with season 9 or 10 SG-1. Preferred pairings include John with Cam, Teyla, Ronon, or Elizabeth or Lorne with Teyla or Ronon, but I'm willing to try my hand at other pairings that aren't listed below.
What I can't do: Non-con/dub-con (including AMTDI). Mpreg. Femslash. More-than-mild kink. Threesomes. OT4. Gender swaps. Severe whump. Wraith pairings. Stories that focus heavily on minor characters other than Lorne or Zelenka. Slash involving Carson. Slash involving Rodney (including McShep). Stories that require a detailed knowledge of seasons four and five.
Pinch hitter?: Unfortunately, I don’t think I'll have time.
