Things I'd Like: Shall I make a list? With loads of exclamation points? Hell, why not:

--Rodney/John stories! Slash, close friendship, bromance, pre-slash, it's all good. :D But please have the story revolve around them, though you can have whatever other SGA and SG-1 characters you like along for the adventure.
--Teyla and Ronon being awesome. I also love Evan Lorne being awesome, and Woosly being cool despite his adherence to rules and regs. I miss Weir, so if you want to do something before she kaks it in season three that'd be great, too. I also love Jeannie (though not her being nasty to her brother and sharing all his bad memories).
--Adventure stories! Captives! Rescues! Ancient ruins (or Atlantis) claiming her boy(s)! Post-apocalyptic Atlantis or Earth! Dystopias! Dangerous and exhausting treks through the alien wilderness! Thinking someone they love is dead when they're not! Basically, anything that pushes our guys to the limit but brings them back alive.
-- I love long, plotty fics but I know that may not work for you. :)
--I also adore transformations and Stargate-based AUs (as in, they can be on Earth as long as there's a SGC and they're both somehow involved with it by the end). Cyborgs? Werewolves (as long as Rodney's not the freaking Omega for once)? Angels? Genetic experiments? Robots? Superheroes? Demon-hunters? John still buggy? Rodney buggy instead? Go for it. :) Whatever makes you happy will more than likely make me happy.
--Angst! Pining! As long as it has a happy ending (not just hopeful, please; it's Christmas!), you can get there as painfully as necessary for the story.
--John understanding that he's not expendable; Rodney realizing that he's loved (as a friend, team/expedition member, boyfriend…); John admitting his feelings, despite how painful it can be for him; Rodney being badass despite how terrified it might make him.
--Crossovers and/or fusions! (But only if you want.) I'd prefer fandoms that I know about (Hawaii 5-0; BBC Sherlock; SG-1; dueSouth; Sentinel; Avengers/X-Men), but if you have another one you'd love to use instead, as long as I can get the general idea of it, go for it. :) I only ask that the SGA characters, and especially John and Rodney, be the focus/heroes of the story.

Things I Wouldn't Like: I would really, really prefer an adventure-type story over a PWP or a characterization story (I really don't like PWPs much). In fact, if you want to leave it at kisses or gen friendship, or cut to billowing curtains, I'd be perfectly happy. If you want to do a BDSM thing, please make Rodney the top. :) I beg you, no permanent deaths or physical/mental disabilities. In my headcanon, there is always Vala or Sam or Sam's dad with a Goa'uld healing device, or nanites or some cool Atlantis tech that will fix the heroes as long as they can get back home. Please no stories where the problem/conflict is Rodney's fault, or John is the one Atlantis loves best or the one who does all the cool stuff, unless Rodney gets to shine, too. Please no character bashing of anyone. Please no gratuitous torture or whump (as in, if Rodney gets shot, he doesn't have to fall down a well, too). I love angst and humor, but I've rarely enjoyed fluff. I love crack, but please make it not silly crack (like, John can be a mer-creature, but not a desk chair). Kidfic and MPreg aren't my favourites, but if that's what your story need, please just treat it realistically. :)

What I can do: I have GREAT IDEA for a Bug!John fic, so I'd love to be paired with someone who wants one this year, if possible. :D I'd prefer to write McShep but will be happy with gen or even het as long as John and Rodney are good friends. I can also write about the minor characters, if necessary. I'm totally down with crack and/or AUs (as long as they're Stargate-based, as above). I love doing team fics and action/adventure, though I probably won't have time to write anything extremely long this year. I'd rather not kill anyone, but if you want to cry I can bring the death and angst like whoa. :)

What I can't do: I would really rather not write a PWP or heavily sex-based fic. I really wouldn't be happy writing a fic that has Rodney as the one who causes the problem or conflict, unless it's based on a canon ep where he did that (like Trinity). I also would much prefer a story with Rodney in it, rather than just in the background or absent. Basically, Rodney is my favourite character, so while I can write a story where he's in the background, I can't write one where he's disliked, merely tolerated or excluded from the team. I like kink but don't feel confident enough to write it, and unless my person has their heart set on MPreg or Kid!Fic, I'd really rather not do that. I don't have the energy to write an Earth-based AU (the research! ::whimpers::). I certainly enjoy writing the characters with their canon faults, but I won't bash anyone.
