I loved this. Such a unique view on a possible alternate universe, and I really love how you incorporate Lorne. Since I never watched SG1 with any regularity, I don't really have any investment in Cam, but I felt for him here and was happy that he got some of the support and faith he needed.

Finally got to read this story. Fabulous! Amazing Lorne whump and great team fic. I love your Jeanie and her relationship with Rodney makes so much sense! Lorne is so heroic and his descent into scared dragon is heartbreaking, and oh did I love the redemption of Captain Mitchell! is it just me or is that boy going to end up a dragon sooner rather than later? I *really* hope you are inspired to write that fic! This is a great addition to what is quickly becoming one of my favourite of your AUs there, Tasty! thanks so much for a fabulous X-mas present. It fit me perfectly.

This is such a great 'verse you've created. The fact that changing into a dragon alters their mental capacity is a very interesting point and adds a lot to what happens to the couples. I also especially like this version of Rodney with the extra helping of empathy. :-D

Poor Lorne! Worst day ever! But I'm glad that everything turned out all right, and now I'm very curious about Cam. Love to hear more about his back history and I just felt so much for him when Sheppard offered him his new position!

My vague back story for this AU Cam is that unlike the happy, well-adjusted and loved canon one we know from the SG-1 series, this Cam's parents died when he was little, leaving him at the mercy of the foster system. I figured that without the stability and unconditional love of his real family, Cameron's tendency to impatience and impulsiveness became a full-blown erratic and carelessly defiant streak that ended up hurting his career. I really enjoyed the idea of this Cam being able to prosper with the right guidance. :)

Oh I just love this verse! I loved how when Lorne thought of Jeannie in his 'dragon head' she was just Small Noisy.

And rodney was Big Noisy!

That is some thorough whump! I felt so sorry for Jeannie when Evan didn't really know her (though I appreciated that you didn't go for the easy alternative). Dragon-Evan's names for everyone were great. And I really like Cam's redemption.
