Thank you so much, Santa! I really enjoyed the team interactions in this, the care they all took with and for each other, and the relationships that flourished as they explored a new place. Rodney was beautifully acerbic, and I loved John as Torren's doting babysitter :D Poor Ronon, plowing that field! And mad love for Teyla's spidey-sense that something was not entirely right . . .

Happy Holidays!

Thank you! I am thrilled that you enjoyed this, despite that it was pretty low on your request list. The other story that was more McShep turned out to utterly fail as anything less than a 70,000 word novel. Merry Christmas!

What a lovely story! I really enjoyed this - the playfulness between the team, the world you created, the gentle tone, the air of mystery. Nicely done.

thank you! I'm glad that the nature of the test and tone of the story worked for you--it was a gentle probe, after all. :)

Interesting story! I really liked the rotating POVs, and loved the idea of Ronon as team photographer. :) Teyla's section with Kanaan was really neat.

Ronon is a natural photographer, I think. He's an observant person, and I think he'd love being able to capture that. Thanks for the note on Teyla's section. It was a bit of teenage dress up, but there's joy in there as well.

You're very clever in this; you use what we (and the team) accept without question as clues to how it can't be real. Things like the cat and the draft horses. Neither animal ever showed up in Pegasus canon and there's no reason the Nox would have brought along fauna from Earth. That was the Alterrans playground, not theirs.

The gentle turn of the seasons and the way the team fits together so naturally are lovely, so too is the inclusion of Kanaan in Teyla's season. Babysitter John and his effort to give Teyla and Kanaan a little 'honeymoon' time was wonderful.

heh. I noted your comment about those two things with some glee--a huge clue, but it could've happened. I so rarely write any canon pairing, that I had to really work on T/K, I think it was the most difficult section for me to write. thank you again, I really appreciate it!

I really enjoyed this. To the point of staying up crazy late without realizing so that I could finish. I love that you used the Nox. They're the only ones of the old Super races that haven't managed to annihilate themselves (well, who knows what happened to the Furlings), so they must be on to something with their magicky pacifist culture.

I'm only a little sorry you had to stay up late, but so pleased that it was engrossing enough to do so! The Nox are one of my personal favorites, and loved being able to play off them, and the Alliance. Magicky pacifists, indeed!

What a wonderful team fic! The gentle mood is so fitting for the season. I loved the various POVs. It was a nice time off for the team. I did become suspicious when you introduced the cat, but that's the only thing that pinged for me and I soon forgot it.

What happened in the team's mind in the "time" between visits? Did the Nox cloud their minds so they were only focussed on their time on the planet?

Thanks again for a great fic!

I'm very happy you enjoyed reading, thank you very much!

All of their 'memories' of the in-between time were theoretical constructs; missions, companions & details pulled from each of their minds and mashed together to seem new and different, and to allay most of their suspicions.

This is great, so full of warmth and affection for the characters. I especially enjoyed the idea of Ronon taking up photography. Teyla and Kanaan choosing each other again was sweet. So was John babysitting, and his enjoyment of Torren's part in the choosing ceremony. Rodney's POV was fun, and just grumpy enough.

It was great how all the little rituals and expectations and the oddnesses became familiar and adopted into the team's frame of reference (Tardis House!) and yet the strangeness of it all never quite fades, either, so at the end when the place Brigadoons away, it's bizarre yet not all that surprising.

This is beautiful. I really like the adventure you gave them and the way you used the Shenlin. I liked how you gave each character a season and what happened in them.

such a beautiful, magical story! I liked your mysterious aliens and your OC scientists. Your character insights on the Team were wonderful. Ronon's photographic hobby was very cool. I especially liked Teyla's section--her musing on choosing Kanaan for a husband, and on choosing to follow and trust "John Sheppard and his Ferris Wheels" was wonderful. The imagery from Teyla's section was also very vivid, from the red flowers that gave Teyla a headache to the beautiful dress and the marriage ceremony. And I thought Tardis House was wonderful as well. great story!

Thank you for the lovely comment! I meant to have a fifth season with more on Bryce Kirk, but timefail meant she got reduced to single sentence and a quick title change :)

Simply beautiful. I love the sense of team as family, as well as the way you use detail to paint a vivid picture without bogging down the pace.

That was deliciously written - I really enjoyed the overall concept, as well as the way you wrote each section from a different team member's POV. Fantastic! :)

This was absolutely lovely. I felt like it got off to a bit of a slow start, but as soon as the team started investigating the planet and its mysteriously changing sign and forest path, I was hooked. I love the atmosphere of the village, how peaceful and friendly it was, and how the team worked together to accomplish their tasks. I'm especially glad that there was no catch, that everything wasn't too easy, like Teyla feared. Nice tension at the end, waking up in the cold, and then waiting to see if the outpost was still there.

Wonderful story!

This was a lovely story. Near the end I was aching for just a little bit more. Their emotions were delightfully understated, and very naturally shown. I love team-fics and love this one too.
Oh, I don't know whether it's important but I thought I'd give you a heads-up that the story page is a bit messed up and it's showing some typos like 'fêtes' instead of feasts, or repeating words.
