Title: Star Drive
Author: [livejournal.com profile] icarusancalion
Recipient: writing for [livejournal.com profile] calcitrix
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Gen, with as much McShep as the show. Which means that it's ever-present.
Length: 9,700 words
Summary: Ten thousand years ago, a cabal of militant anti-Ascensionists had a plan to force the Ancients to stand and fight the Wraith. Now all they need is John Sheppard to set it into motion.
Prompt: Cal wanted action and adventure, alien civilizations and/or ancient gizmos discovered in Atlantis. Basically, she wanted an SGA episode. Yes, me too.
Author notes: Amazingly, both [livejournal.com profile] mecurtin and [livejournal.com profile] mad_maudlin made time on Christmas eve to beta this--Maud at 1:30am. This story wouldn't be what it is without their wonder twin powers of observation. All mistakes are mine.

Title: Gulfs Between Him And The Seraphim
Author: [livejournal.com profile] tielan
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] vipersweb
Pairing: focus is gen, although there's impled John/Teyla, Teyla/Kanaan, Ronon/Amelia, and Rodney/Keller.
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: These characters aren't mine, and there's no point in sueing since I have no money!
Author's Notes: This is not quite the story you asked for, hon, due to a lack of time and me signing up for too many things this season, and I apologise for it being as late as it is! I hope it satisfies! The title comes from Edwin Markham's The Man With The Hoe’.
Merry Christmas!
Summary: The cultual differences between Earth and Pegasus are neither absolute nor all-encompassing, but they can cause problems.

Or, possibly not :) I know we have one pinch hit out where the originally assigned author then managed to get the story to us, and I know some original authors were still trying to get their stories to us even though we've organised pinch hits, but we think that everyone has at least one story now and some lucky people have more than one.

If we're wrong, and we've missed posting something and you haven't had a story, or you've sent us something and we haven't posted it, please feel free to let us know either here or at by mail sent to either of us at our LJ usernames (alyse and moonlettuce) livejournal dot com if you want to maintain anonymity.

So I'm going to go ahead and post the masterlist (minus names) once Claire's checked it over and made sure I've not included any author names. And then let the guessing begin!

Thank you to everyone for taking part, most especially our fabulous pinch hitters for making it a relatively pain free exchange this year :)

ETA: Okay, that's the list posted, so please consider this post the official 'guess who wrote which story' one :)

So, as mentioned in this post, Alyse and I had a conversation when we were getting stories in which amounted to wondering if we were going to hit one million words. Well, we came close, damn close.

The minimum fic size for [livejournal.com profile] sga_santa is 1,000 worrds. This means that if the 110 fics posted so far had just done the minimum, we'd have had 110,000 words. Instead, we're around the 987,500 mark - nearly nine times what it could have been.

But what about the million? I hear you ask...

Well, Al and I have had another conversation and we thought we'd totally nick an idea from Yuletide take a leaf out of Yuletide's book.

Which means I'd like to welcome you to a week of Santa Madness.

From now until the reveal on January 1st we're throwing the prompts from this year into the wind.

The rules are simple. Pick a prompt you'd like to write, then go for it.

Think of the stories as mini!gift fics. We're also knocking the word limit down to 100 words, so anything above a drabble is fair game.

Because these don't have to be anonymous, you can post them to the comm yourself. Or, you can always send them to either Alyse or myself to post for you, if you'd like to maintain that air of mystery.

Remember to put the name of the person you're writing for in the post, so people will know that you've chosen one of their prompts.

We figure we can totally get to a million words by the reveal *\o/*

So, who's up for it? ::grin::

Edited to add:

If there's someone specific you want to write for, all of the 2009 requests are in the memories:

2009 Requests

And this is open to anyone, not just those who signed up for the original 2009 SGA Santa :)

As Claire said in the last post, we came very, very close to hitting the 1,000,000 word mark (and there's still time!). I know I was asked about that, and I've been asked what the longest stories etc are, so there are some stats for those who are interested behind the lj-cut.

Statistics and a pretty picture )

And there you have it. Evidence of just how prolific you all are, all nicely laid out ::g::
