My favorite het pairing in SGA and SG-1! But that's shallow and this story is anything but. I liked it from the beginning, but it only got better and better. Not only did I get an emotionally fulfilling ending for John and Vala post-series, but I got them written as smart, competent adult professionals. There were wonderful OCs and character notes and delicately nuanced nods to canon and original takes on fanon. I haven't loved an SGA story this much in forever.
