I'm so glad you liked the story, WaP!

The movie that I based this story on was brilliant in the way it revealed the heroine's past, and I wanted to do the same for Evan. I'm also a sucker for 'amnesia' fics, so it was great fun for me to be able to make Evan forget his past for such an uncommon reason.

It made sense to me that McKay would be the one to tell Kavanagh he needed to be nice. McKay (in my mind) has learned this the hard way (and is still working on it) and therefore would be in the right position to tell someone else. And I agree. Why did TPTB bring Kavanagh to Atlantis if he was meant to be such a lousy scientist and pathetic human being? That was a challenge if I've ever seen one! I'm glad my take on Kavanagh worked for you.

And even though Lorne/Kavanagh is *not* my favourite pairing, if I'm writing them getting together, for sure they will need to be happy! But I don't think that Kavanagh will ever really like sunsets... (and Kavanagh's reaction to Lorne's painting was an in-joke from the first Lorne/Kavanagh fic I wrote for EvilJr 2 years ago called 'Making Nice.' :) )

Thanks so much for your comment! I really appreciate knowing you liked it.
