I think I forgot to breathe when John said he didn't want to die and then did. And then when he got his memories back and the Ancients had taken away the people he loved within them... I wanted to take those Ancients and burn them in a fire.
And at the end I started to tear up because I was so dang happy that John knew who and where he belonged completely.
This story was just beautiful by itself but the language, the softness of it, makes it amazing. It's going to be a favorite for a damn long time.
Almost forgot to mention that I love the title because it fits so perfectly.
