This little epilogue is just too awesome for words! I don't think I could've done a better job myself. It really makes me feel for Jennifer, even though she does have a great life and nothing to complain about. She does seem like the kind of person who would be more hurt by someone not trusting her than by someone breaking up with her.
I think Rodney did owe it to her to tell her the truth about John, but I also think that there's no way he would've done it if she mentioned she was leaving first, so that was really in-character. Now I'm totally tempted to write an epilogue to your epilogue where Jennifer meets up with John and Rodney and gets the full story.
