You have me crying for poor Rodney here--the way John closes off all his escapes for him, and how Rodney works so hard to get him not to be mad anymore reminds me JUST of Doranda--so heartbreaking! Love, love, love that Teyla and Ronon get in on it, too, staging an intervention which unfortunately doesn't work. It takes Rodney himself to break John, to make him realize that just because it's Rodney McKay doesn't mean he's not also a kid, and no matter who you are, kids all need one thing: love. [And fun, like skateboarding and swimming and Athosian mainland kids and karate and and and--] And John was so twisted up!! I love that you made me feel sorry for him at the end, even though he was drawing the noose tighter and tighter around Rodney's neck. *squishes kid!Rodney and John*
