omg, Oh My God. This is like the flip side of "String Theory" -- one of my favorite McShep AUs, as I assume it is also yours -- with John's experience of the music, and John as the conductor. A more military John than we usually get even in non-AUs (or dare I say canon), not just a loner but a leader of men into battle.
