I particularly enjoyed how you focused on the start of their relationship - on the way they come together in slow-growing understanding - and then the way they come together in the end. The quick sequence of the adjustments in their relationship over the years worked very well, too, and John rubbing at the back of his neck in the last scene is so very him!
