I have never liked Kavanagh, either, but I wanted to give Eviljr a present that would make her happy... so I'm so glad it worked :)
And Evan is totally my favourite guy on Atlantis (well, it's a tie between him and Chuck) so giving him a nice back story and a loving mother wasn't too hard. ;->
