Things I'd like: McKay/Sheppard makes me happy, especially when they retain their snark, asshole tendancies, and manliness/boyishness (however, feel free to make them flaming queens in a humor context). I love humor, UST, romance, darkfic, and fics about Wraith and Pegasus culture. I really love happy or hopeful endings, but not when the ending is forced. I also love fics where Atlantis is cut off from Earth and total AU fics, and kidfic. Like I said, John/Rodney makes me happy, but other favorite characters are Lorne, Ronon, Teyla, Weir, and Zelenka, and you should totally feel free to mix and match characters in other relationships. A good story of friendship is also adored. I also love backstory, both for major and minor characters (note, minor can even be characters that only show up once in the series). Slash, femslash, het, and gen are all good by me as are all ratings. Neither do I say no to SG-1 crossovers, especially if Daniel Jackson and his many issues make an appearance. Character studies also make me happy.
Basically if any one of the above and Rodney is in it I will be happy. :D
Things I wouldn't like: No non-con, rape, or explicit torture. No sickeningly sweet nicknames, or public declarations of love (except in jest, in which case, knock your self out). No character bastardization or extreme idealization (I like the grey areas and moral ambiguity of actions). No extreme humiliation. No really hard kinks please (like scat play or golden showers).
What I can do: I can do fluff, humor, or darkfic. I can do McShep, or gen good friend fic. Basically anything I like I can do.
What I can't do: I can't write PWPs or NC-17 rating, and I can't write Carson Beckett in his accent or in a sexual situation. I'm not too good at pure action/adventure fics or BDSM. I'd rather not take on anything under my "things I wouldn't like" list.
Pinch hitter?: Depends on what I'm up to at the time and the prompt.
