Things I'd like: earthside OR earth AU OR returning to pegasus post S5. Mschep, Jeannie, TEAM, little bit o' angst (especially over the military regs!) and romance, holidays. and if you manage to get some Ronon/Jeannie and/or Lorne/Zelenka and/or Caldwell/Weir, I'll be a happy camper! Really, there could be tears of joy. I get totally caught up in the 'this character is pining and that character is oblivious' storytelling. I also love the conceit that Atlantis is a sentient city and communicates actively with either Rodney and/or John. and I love it when they fly. Honestly, though, as long as there's romance, I'm good for reading anything.
Things I wouldn't like: Hmm. No "I'm deathly allergic to citrus!" or "technically proficient, lacking in passion" statements. No Kolya - the 'go to' bad guy for Atlantis fic - and he's always so arch. That character NEEDS Robert Davi - my brain can't do him justice. Blech. I like Jennifer as a character, but in fic she's often either a mega bitch or a pansy. I don't want that.
What I can do: I'll write most anything. I'm not as good with het, but I'll write to please. I have a hard time making zelenka sound like Zelenka - but I LOVE trying - and Ronon eludes me sometimes, but a good beta will help with that.
What I can't do: Non/dub con. I don't think I could do the issue justice, and I'm not sure I want to. D/s stuff. I can't wrap my mind around it. kid fic. I teach teenagers, so I could do teens, but not younger than 15. Ummm, if you're looking for KINKY (toys, rings, bondage etal) I can't help you. I'm hard pressed for enough experience to write vanilla sex - we start throwing in all the other flavors, and my palate just isn't equipped, ya know? John in a het relationship.
Pinch hitter?: If I finish my story and y'all let me know in time, I can pinch hit with the best of them. :D It won't be epic or grand, but it'll be a decently told story.
