Oh, gosh, John's worry throughout this, powerful and palpable, and that Rodney can still feel glad to have done it, even after everything . . . but my absolute favorite detail is that moment of calm before the team figures out what's really going on, when they feel safe, and John dreams of his red bike—and then when he talks about it to try and coax Rodney into relaxing, asdfasdflkj, oh, how beautiful.
