Oh, the adorkable doofuses! I love how aliens almost made them do it, and how John struggled with the consequences - that is one of my favourite of all favourite tropes. And I love how Rodney tracks him down. He is persistent *is admiring*, and the way he physically dominated John was hot. I really liked that image, and thought it was a lovely echo of John's behaviour in the bunker. Thank you so much, mystery author!
