Thank goodness ladyyueh's rec at stargateficrec pointed me here, because I'd missed this wonderful fic before now! I'm a little curious about Jacob but, really, he's completely overshadowed by the rest of his relatives & SGA characters so I'm perfectly content with him being a plot device. I adore seeing Jeannie & The Team sweep Grant up in their protectiveness (tho' they have their bewildered moments, sure), & Grant tentatively deciding to trust them because they seem to understand. Of course Rodney would be careful of Grant, even when he's been beaten so badly: Rodney really is bad with people (but good with the few people he can read) & chronically annoyed by morons (which Grant isn't, of course), but he's not fundamentally mean. Now I just hope that SGC, the American military-industrial complex, & various secret Bad Organizations don't realize Grant is easier prey than Rodney....
