I enjoyed this a lot. I liked how you wove together AU bits and canon bits. It was really interesting how different John was because he hadn't joined the military, but it was still definitely the voice of our John from the show.
And the part with Ford at the gate made my heart clench a little, I really miss him, so I love that you included that bit from canon. :)
