This was really cool and really creepy. I liked that you didn't really explain everything -- we don't know what really happened in the village, we don't know how much of this "disease" is lingering, etc.
Also, the John/Rodney was lovely, how they felt safe together and just inherently trusted each other not to be zombies (heee! that sounds funny once I've actually typed it out!).
