Stories due today!

I'm sure the reminder won't be necessary but you do need to get your story into us today unless you've already negotiated an extension. At the moment we have more extensions than stories but I'm sure that I'm panicking unnecessarily and the rest will land in my inbox imminently!

However, that being said, if you are going to be a little late you need to let us know that now so that we don't end up pursuing you for it tonight with a maniacal gleam in our eyes.

Okay, I feel completely sucky and I'm so sorry for this, but could I get a 24 hour extension and send mine to you on the 11th? I'm down to the last two hundred words or so and thought caffeine would cut it but my cold's being a bitch and demanding I get some actual sleep. But I promise I can have it in tomorrow if that'd be okay? And again, I'm really, really sorry about the delay.

Feel free to kick me in the pants as necessary for leaving things to the last minute ~again~ and thinking these were due in on the 15th, wtf.

Oh crap, I just logged online and saw this. I thought the deadline was the 15th for some reason, so my story isn't finished yet. Is there anyway that I can turn it in on Saturday? I'll be able to get it done, just not in the two hours that's left until Friday starts. I'm really sorry!

Digital Devil Saga icon, actually :D, although funnily enough, in Japan it was called Avatar Tuner if I recall correctly! ^^. Gale is made of fabulous and win (I mean really, if the character's short summary is cannibal-strategist-artificial-intelligence-demon-shapeshifter-who-is-most-likely-gay then, well, there'd be something a little odd about NOT adoring him).

How's yours coming along? I'm poking the story in the side with a very sharp stick now (and a lot of caffeine) but it's being a bugger to finish; just waiting on a last wind of inspiration to stitch the story together so that the beginning, middle and end actually LINK UP :).

Just popping my head in to say I'm really sorry and aware I'm down to the last two hours or so of the extension I asked for - the story just kind of leapt from 1200 words to 2000 when I was putting in the 'last few words' and I'm struggling to close it off - but I'm going to give it 'til 5am and if I've not finished by then I'll let you know if I might need Saturday as well. Really hate being behind like this, I'm so sorry! But it is being worked on, it's just trying to get John and Teyla to shut up and go to bed that's the trick. (Er, not in that way, mind)

Okay, I'm sorry :(, I'll have to make it a weekend hand-in; the sodding thing just won't finish but I'll be damned if I default when a) I've never defaulted on a fic challenge/exchange before and b) I actually like what's been written so far.

I'll do everything I can to have it finished tomorrow, Sunday at the very, very, very latest as I have NOTHING else to do on Sunday other than work on the fic if it's still not done, so no matter what you'll have it ready with everything else for Monday, and I'm sorry I didn't factor in for my useless timekeeping skills. I will get this done though, even if I have to cut off the current end bits altogether and rewrite a completely different ending to get it to finish.
