I must admit I wasn't sure how well I was going to be able to pull off the confusion over who the blue-eyed man was, so I'm very relieved so many people liked that part (and didn't think it was irritating of me to trick them, or that it was too clunkily obvious) And I'm happy to hear the boring history lesson worked for you too. That bit probably got re-written and tweaked more that the whole rest of the story combined!! I kept changing the timescales. At one point I had the split from earth just after 1950 but then I realised that this would mean John Sheppard had never heard a single Johnny Cash song and that just wouldn't have been right!
