The idea occured to me, with just "some rule of physics is different in this uni and Rodney can't accept the idea that he's wrong" as the subtleness. Then I spoke with some non-LJ friends who are big into science and they helped me with the Universal Gravitational Constant, and apparently it's a current argument in science.

I was pretty wibbly about the ending, too. These types of stories can take a lot out of me in the writing.
