Oh my god, I wasn't keeping up with posts due to RL and just found this story in scrolling back through the SGA newsletter links. I wasn't expecting anything to be posted for me, not that I'm complaining, because this is just beautiful! I love John's desires, radek's care coupled with manipulation, and rodney's own vulnerability. The slow build of their relationship made it a pleasure to read - even those parts where things are painfully awkward (deliciously so).
This "John, beautiful friend, I am getting very tired of having relationship discussions with you while I am naked. " Is wonderful. I love that Radek calls him 'Beautiful friend'. And that John hides under a blanket on the couch! And the fact that the whole relationship isn't resolved/settled in one conversation, that they take small steps, have misunderstandings, and conversations (like on the beach) that don't resolve anything, is just so real and lovely that it made my heart ache (in the best way). I just.. really don't have the skills to put it into words. This was beautifully done, thank you.
