Thank you! My vague back story for this AU Cam is that unlike the happy, well-adjusted and loved canon one we know from the SG-1 series, this Cam's parents died when he was little, leaving him at the mercy of the foster system. I figured that without the stability and unconditional love of his real family, Cameron's tendency to impatience and impulsiveness became a full-blown erratic and carelessly defiant streak that ended up hurting his career. I really enjoyed the idea of this Cam being able to prosper with the right guidance. :)
