Wow! Santa, I thank you from the bottom of my John-loving heart. This gets at everything I love about these characters and their relationships. It's written with a beautiful, fitting restraint that lets everything just unfold in what feels like a totally natural way (I got a little wibbly and verklempt in parts, I assure you.)
