I'm very glad you enjoyed it. Shep may not be one for symbolics much on the outside, but when I wrote this, I felt a need for him to be the one to actually watch over the candle. It wasn't planned this way, but the character had other ideas. And, obviously, the character is always right.

And, yes. Evil rubber ducks. They're a quacking nightmare.
