Whoa--that was horrible! In the sense that I was really, really worried and horrified for John. I was wondering if it was a time-loop or an alternate universe, and I'm just glad that the other versions of the Lanteans were willing to stop using the device. Hopefully their Sheppard will stop being so reckless, too.

(I also hope John can get someone from the SGC to use a Goa'uld healing device on him, to make sure there are no lasting ill effects of such a terrible injury...)
