Yes, a lot of people got hurt by his silence, but that would have happened *anyway*.

If he'd said to Cam that Keller and Rodney were dating, a lot of people wouldn't have gotten hurt as badly. So he did make a serious mistake, one that wasn't necessary. Cam's the kind of guy who would forgive him eventually, though.
