Oh, wow! I very nearly skipped this one but decided I at least had to see how it started. You really make this work well! You explain Kavanagh without excusing him and let him start to change, which is brilliant, and all the various interactions are fantastic. (McKay looked positively courtly compared to Kavanagh's brutality, too, all while remaining his usual clumsy self, which was a very nice touch.) Well done!
