Thank you so much!!! Something about slash as a genre that bugs me is a tendency to marginalize and villainize women and treat them as cardboard cut-outs. You see this much less in SGA fandom, but it still happens. I think it makes much more sense to write people as attracted to each other as a reaction to each other rather than a negative reaction to people of the opposite sex.
