this is really really wonderful. lyrical and sweet and sad and poignant and really in character. there is so much john doesn't say, and so much rodney thinks but doesn't say, and this made me *ache* for both of them. and i literally clapped my hands with glee and said oh oh oh when they were rescued. i loved this a lot.

i can't wait for the reveal so i can either read everything else you've ever written or just smile, because *obviously* :)
